The idea..

One cold winter night, I was assigned to watch 5, from 3 PM to 1 AM. Those late shifts were bitterly cold, and if it felt that chilly in LA, I could only imagine how much colder it must get in states like New York or Minnesota. After my shift ended, I headed home, but the cold stayed with me. I found myself searching online for a beanie that would keep me warm while on patrol.
In my department, female officers are required to style their hair in a low bun while working patrol, which made finding the right beanie a bit more challenging. After a thorough search and coming up empty-handed, I realized there was a need for a beanie designed specifically for cold-weather shifts that could accommodate a low bun. The cold weather beanie had to meet a few essential criteria: it needed to have a tactical look, be made of stretchy and warm material, and feature a hair bun opening that could accommodate various bun sizes comfortably.
